As school counselors, we often wish for more time with our students. But sometimes, the most meaningful breakthroughs happen in the smallest windows.
Here are three 10-minute activities that create lasting impact:
✨ 1. “Strength Snapshot”
Ask students to name one strength they used this week. Then have them share how it helped them overcome a challenge. This builds self-awareness and reinforces positive identity.
✨ 2. “Circle of Control”
Draw two circles. In the inner circle, students list what they can control. In the outer circle, what they cannot. This simple visual helps reduce anxiety and empowers decision-making.
✨ 3. “Future Me Postcard”
Students write a short message from their future self offering encouragement. It’s quick, creative, and powerful.
