Fun Friday: Which Disney Character Matches Your Role?

There are many ways to describe educators: dedicated, passionate, creative, and tired.

But today, I’m going with something a little more fun.  If your role in a school matched a Disney character, who would it be?

Every school has:

The high-energy motivator

The steady, behind-the-scenes problem solver

The creative visionary

The one holding it all together (even when no one notices)

Let’s match Disney characters to the real roles educators play every single day.

PE Teacher:  Genie

They bring the energy. They keep the whole school moving, literally and figuratively, and somehow turn chaos into fun.  Also, they can manage 30 kids, sports equipment, and noise levels that would scare the rest of us.

Math Teacher:  Tiana

They bring structure and clarity.  Math teachers help students make sense of things that feel overwhelming and remind them that growth comes step by step.  They’re the quiet force behind so many “aha” moments.

Science Teacher: Doc Brown

They bring curiosity to life. Science teachers turn questions into discoveries and make learning feel exciting, unpredictable, and full of possibility. They remind students it’s okay to try, fail, and try again.

History Teacher: Mufasa

They bring perspective. History teachers help students understand where we’ve been and why it matters now. They’re constantly connecting the past to the present in ways that shape how students see the world.

Reading Teacher: Belle

They bring imagination. Reading teachers open doors to new worlds and help students find themselves in stories. They create spaces where every student can feel seen, heard, and understood.

Career & Tech Ed: Hiro Hamada

They bring the future. These educators help students build real-world skills, solve problems, and imagine what’s possible beyond the classroom.  They’re preparing students for a world that doesn’t even exist yet.

Music Teacher:  Miguel Rivera

They bring heart. Music teachers help students express emotions they don’t always have words for. They create moments students remember long after they leave school.

Art Teacher: Joy

They bring creativity without limits. Art teachers remind students there’s no one “right” way to think, create, or express themselves.  They make space for individuality and celebrate it.

School Counselor: Mirabel Madrigal

They bring connection. School counselors are often the quiet glue holding everything together, supporting students, families, and staff in ways that aren’t always visible. They help others see their strengths, even when they can’t see them yet.

**Don't see your area here? No worries! There will be a part 2 in the near future.
