Fun Friday: The Math Isn’t Mathing. It Must Be Friday

**Disney Edition complete with a little pixie dust (aka COUPON!) at the end.
Somewhere between dismissal duty and your third cup of coffee, a new kind of math appears. Not the kind we teach. Not the kind that shows up on standardized tests. Nope!
This is Friday Math. And frankly?
It feels a lot like a full day at Disney.
Let’s Walk Through the Formula
Here’s what we’re working with:
1 week of early mornings
27 “Can you come grab this student real quick?” moments
14 schedule changes
9 emotional check-ins
1 email you absolutely meant to answer
Now multiply that by: “we rope dropped Magic Kingdom and stayed through fireworks” energy.
You started the week strong, like walking onto your first ride with no wait. By Wednesday? You’re checking the app, recalculating, pivoting. By Friday?
You are standing in line for the bus at Pop Century Resort at park close wondering how this became your life.
Then subtract:
your patience
your attention span
and your ability to remember what you walked into the room for
(This is the equivalent of trying to function after waiting 90 minutes for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in the Florida heat.)
The Final Answer?
It’s giving: “the ride just went down when you were next in line” energy. The math isn’t mathing.
BUT HERE’S WHAT WE DO KNOW:
At Disney, when the day starts to spiral, you don’t quit; instead, you adjust.
You:
mobile order a snack
find an air-conditioned show
reroute to something with a shorter wait
or take a quiet moment in a tucked-away spot
(looking at you, Japan Pavilion)
That’s the same energy we need in schools on a Friday.
The “Friday Math” Deal
So today we’re applying a little Disney pixie dust to real life:
One resource = 50% off Use code: FRIDAY50
**Valid April 17, 2026- April 19, 2026 on any ONE resource
No complicated explanation. No overthinking. Just a little “you made it through the week” magic.
The Counselor Clubhouse Take
We love Disney because even when things don’t go perfectly, there’s always a way to pivot, a backup plan, a small detail, or a moment of magic. School counseling? It’s a little less predictable than Genie+, but the idea still holds. The right tools can make your day smoother, small systems can create calm in chaos, and sometimes you just need a win.
Sometimes learning looks like a classroom. Sometimes it looks like a castle. And sometimes it looks like giving yourself a little Friday magic-no wait time required.
